how does this sound?

Shopping for my first rotary. Was looking at this 3rd gen but the engine sounds iffy to me. Can someone tell me if this sounds like something is wrong or is this just how they sound?

I can't tell either. I was waiting for him to do a walk around, go inside and blip the throttle a little bit.

Are you buying and shipping the car or checking it out in person?

There are any number of different cat-back manufacturers and each will make a little different sound. Add in the fact that it's a single turbo and you change sounds some more. FWIW, I heard nothing that would give me concern.

It sounds fast, some go fast mods a little raspy sounding. Nice smooth idle. How did it go? Could you feel that turbo pull? Was there a big lag?

car felt good, and you def felt it when the turbo spooled up. Wasn't much lag either. I didn't end up getting the car for other reasons but it was def a healthy engine.
