Help me be able to get to work in 5 hours!!!
I was doing some work on my car earlier today, and a small screw for the choke butterfly valve fell into the engine... Now, i have to leave for work in 5 hours and drive 30 miles there and 30 miles back after. Will driving the car do irreparable engine damage? Is there a way i can get the screw out and be able to drive in under 30 minutes after i wake up? My job requires a valid license and your own vehicle...HELP.
If it helps any its a 12A

Don't start it.. Unless you want to totally destroy your engine..
Pull the intake manifold off and hopefully it's sitting in the primary intake port. (center plate)
If not.. Its a case of hunting for it through the intake port, exhaust port and leading spark plug hole while whilst turning the engine over by hand, taking care not to mash it in to the housing with the rotor.
Failing that, there is no other option but to tear it down.

Yep..yer screwed dude.
You need to pull off the intake and find that screw.
Case and POINT..this is what happened when a buddy lost a Nut from an intake.
The engine ATE it causing a Rebuild.

TBh, if you are really lazy even though the 12a carbs are easy to pull off. Just take headers off and hand crank engine in reverse VERY SLOWLY. It should pop out but under any circumstances, DO NOT force it if you feel the engine lock up. Reverse rotation of engine and check and see if the screw is near the to of the exhaust port
But seriously
