Question FD3S - What are these objects in the lower intake manifold?

I have been working on diagnosing what caused the engine in my FD to seize while in the previous owner's possession. I believe I have found the answer...

I took an inspection camera and checked the ports and what I noticed is that the rear most and front most ports both have these objects sticking out. I'm not really sure what the purpose of these are, does anyone know?

Also, for the those curious, the FRONT appears to have broken off causing one of the 3 legs to go shooting into the rotor housing. Thus my seized engine. So whatever these are, one of them took out my engine.

Thanks for the help!

They're injector diffusers, they get old and brittle and blow engines, much like you're experiencing now.
