E-shaft question

Ok, this may be a dumb question, but, I have a S5 Automatic block, I want to convert it to use a manual trans., can I just install a pilot bearing and flywheel, or do I need a manual E-shaft?

E-shaft is independent of transmission. Same thing on every engine.

You'll need to change the front counterweight to an S5 NA manual counterweight, or use a lightweight flywheel as well.

OK, I was planning on buying a light weight flywheel, would I still need the front counter weight from a manual?

Nope. Lightweight flywheels will balance out with the automatic counterweight.
