Question Crazy Wiring, and has anyone seen this relay?

Ive got a 93 rx7 fd.

The wiring in my drivers door is seriously messed up - nothing works - mirrors, central locking, power windows, so I'm trying to sort it all out.

There seems to be a relay that doesn't belong - I've circled it in the attached picture. Unfortunately the flash reflected off it so you can't read it, but pretty much it has this code

"g4l-1125t omron" 20v

Has anyone any clue what it could be used for, and is it stock on rx7s? It doesn't come in a search on the forum.

Cheers!
Stevw

I should mention that my car is RHD jdm, as i believe some of the wiring including the power windows is different ? Also, what is this small box? (This picture isn't my harness). I am missing it.

It would be incredibly helpful if anyone had a picture of their wiring still in the drivers door (jdm would be fantastic) that was clear enough to roughly see what goes where? Unfortunately my wiring diagram reading skills are *****, .

What would the benefit of it be? My windows weren't working prior, but I've by passed it and rewired the door and now drivers side electrics are working

As per factory the power window wiring goes thru the switch. Quite a bit of current on an expensive part. In turn people add the relay to transfer the load off off the switch to the relay. A big plus.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction marclong. I wouldn't have thought it would have been used like that. What the relay ended up being set up for was the power mirrors instead of windows originally. After several hours bashing away at it, I've got it back to how it probably once was before some Muppet decided to cut everything to pieces and purposely short everything. At least all my electrics are working now !

Moral of the story:
Don't let Muppets work on your car. They do not Have thumbs and will Screw it up anyways!..and your windows may end up smelling like Miss Piggy.
