But in general, yes, it's a DIY job if you have any sort of automotive inclination. Most of the plastics in any of these old cars is brittle if not already broken, so be prepared.

I've taken my cluster out 3-4 times...
2nd time the hood shattered into 8-9 pieces...
had to superglue it back together, reinforce with fibreglass, fill, sand, primer, wrapped in flat vinyl...
not fun. Something will most likely break... recommend finding out cost of large pieces so you are prepared when they do. Best of luck to you.

Oil Pressure Gauge
I've checked the wire (yellow and red) that's attached to the unit. It runs a very short distance and disappears into the wiring harness. Most articles I've read say the gauge can be damaged if the car is driven much with the gauge needle pegged.
