Changing the Direction wheel
Hi everyone, would it be to difficult to change the Direccion wheel in my 94. How much woul i have to spend to het a nice wheel for it and if someone can recommend a brand or model it will be appreciated. The one i have is the original from Mazda i think it even has the air bags intact. Thanks in advance for recomendations.

welcome to the board.
i will assume that "direction" wheel is your steering wheel. is this correct?
if so, then you'll want to search for one you like and see if the company carries an adapter for the FD. Momo, Grant, Sparco, Nardi, etc. are popular brands, but ultimately you have to choose what style you like.
as far as actually installing it. they are usually fairly easy to install and can be done with basic tools. an allen wrench may be needed, but it would likely come with the adapter hub kit. if you are doing it yourself, you'll probably want to disconnect the battery before working in the unfortunate event you do something trigger the airbag. of course, none of that matters if you're not doing it yourself.

Of course it's MUCH safer to retain the passive restraint systems which include the steering wheel air-bag. Removing the stock wheel for one without a bag will cause the air-bag warning light on the dash to come on.
If you insist on going with a non-airbag steering wheel there are ways of fooling the monitoring system (I'm DO NOT encourage this)
The other option is a more updated/modern looking steering wheel from a later-model RX7. Several of them are pictured here -----> https://www.rx7club.com/3rd-generati...wheels-520375/
FWIW, my car...BEFORE and AFTER with a later model perforated leather and Nardi badged bag..............

Yes, it will be the steering wheel.lol well i have a mechanic working on the car because i did a bunch of stuff to it. I bought the car three years ago and I have been doing stuff to it we took the Engine out and did a large port and so many thing that it will be to long to write. The point is that I haven't been able to drive the car for three years first thing the money then the mechanical procedure and so on so I guess I'm trying to learn everything I can so I can do things myself and save money not going to be paying my whole life for mechanical on my car hopefully I can learn here and on the car too. Thanks i will look into it and search for one that suits my likes.
Thank you

I have an NRG swede 320 mm wheel with the NRG short hub adapter and quick disconnect. I love it because the grip is phenomenal and it makes more room for my legs... I'm 6'6".
