boggin out problem at 4 grand

i got a problem with my 2nd gen rx7. when im running it, it runs fine when i floor it up to 3800 rpm's. but from there on if i floor it from 4000 to whatever it will bogg out. but if i just feather the gas its fine. any idea's on what could be causing this to happen to me. such as fuel pressure regulator, mass air flow or just even a sencor?
