best way to lower 1984 rx7
Hello,
My s2 needs to be lowered, When I was younger lowering either meant one of two things
1] find a shorter spring, shorten shocks to keep spring captive
2]Get grinder, Grind spring, Shorten shock to keep spring captive, Remove 1/2 the bump stop to stop car bouncing.
I never had a bad experience lowering my cars like this but im also no longer 16. I have been looking around for
lowering springs and the best drop I could find was 1.4" Does anyone know of a spring that drops it more in the rear?
I attached a photo of the first rx7 I built and want it around that height again.
Thanks

beyond lowering springs and upgraded shocks/struts, you're probably going to have to go with coilovers - which from what i've seen, you're not going to find a "kit" (meaning something that will bolt on all four corners and you're done).
there are a few members that have traveled that road though, so just check what they've done and decide which one you want to copy. for starters you can look into Ground Control and Techno Toy Tuning.

Going that low, by any means, is negatively affecting the suspension geometry. Which requires further modification and fab skills to properly carry out.
That said, taking 1/2 coil front and 3/4 coil rear from any available lowering spring will get you a little closer with less adverse effect.
