Best down pipe gasket RHD FD3S?
Hi everyone,
I found a similar thread post about someone looking for a down pipe gasket, with no definite answer on what will work well. I would prefer a mazda OEM gasket but really don't want to spend $100.
Just purchased a FEED down pipe, and found this gasket but what do you all recommend. I definitely don't want any exhaust leaks in the near future
The gasket I'm looking at:
Nippon Reinz Exhaust Manifold Gasket in Canada - Canada W0133-1757914 Nippon Reinz Exhaust Manifold Gasket Canada
Older thread i was looking at:

It's been a while – researched some other options I just don't remember what they were now. But I ended up staying with OEM. I did NOT want to mess with the down pipe a second time. Not only is it a PITA to access on the car, but just more opportunity for a stud to twist and break. If that happens the extra paid wouldn't seem all that bad. That was MY logic anyway.

Is there any options (links) that are not going to run me $100+ for an oem gasket? If oem is the only option what retailer should I go though.
The Nippon Rienz looks good but it has an extra hole in the gasket which can't be better for sealing/exhaust leaks.
Other option is i could get the NR gasket and use gasket cement to fill the hole?

His contact info is listed on the 3rd Gen section.
I bought all new hardware for a downpipe install. You don't need to buy everything I listed below but maybe it'll help you out.

No worries. If you have a tap and die set you would use a tap to "chase" or clean the threads. Doing so ensures that you get proper torque. And maybe more importantly with anti seize and clean threads you reduce the risk of breaking the studs when tightening things down. Trust me you really don't want to do that.
