backfire and lost of power while sideways?
hoping some one can help me narrow my issue down. this is only happening when I drift the car and sometimes it happens right before my secondary turbo comes on. it doesn't happen every time. when I cut into a turn and initiate the drift my car goes lean and looses power and it backfires ( 2 pops ) in the times that it's happened I've managed to hit the clutch before it sends me spinning car runs great other than that. I feel that from the sideways motion my fuel isn't getting to the pump and starving the engine does that make sense? any help would be appreciated

supra TT fuel pump with 30amp mod

Fuel-filter?
I had the same problem on my Escort rallycross car. I solved it by getting the biggest fuel-filter i could get and mounted it as close as possible to the fuel pressure regulator. this worked as a catch tank.

It may also be from fuel moving away from the take up. I gad this issue when running really hard at an autocross the solution was to add a bunch of open cell foam into my tank. I added a couple dozen 3x3 cubes one at a time. This negates the gas gauge but if you are careful you can just use the trip counter to know when the car is at 1/4 full

Try the big fuel filter or a tandem of filters first. My 79 runs a pair of fuel filters now and the foam and the only problem I have at the autocross track is explaining how my 1.1 liter just ate a v8 for lunch. Oh wait that's not a problem it's power to weight.
