87 rx with 13b questions...new to rotary engines
I noticed quite a bit of smoke that smells like gas but when i park the car on a downhill slope nose facing downhill the smoke pretty much stopped... Any input on why this may be would be great thank you

Take your fuel pump out and check whats going on in your gas tank.
Fuel pump sock, debris, fuel filter etc..

Is the smoke coming from the exhaust pipe, the engine bay, or someplace else?
The most important thing is to make sure that your pulsation damper is not leaking.

Not to take away any "diagnosing" but When I got my first Rx7 I noticed quickly that it had "quirks".
Pretty well like what you describe only it would not start on an incline. If I park flat,NO problem.
My ultimate solution was not park on a Hill... and live with it.
The car was actually better than the Ex-Wife as it did have it's faults but the car did not come with the other 25 personalities.
(me and my car plan to marry in Vegas)
