1990 RX-7 Hard to put into reverse after field repair
Hello,
I have a 1990 RX-7 convertible that, last night got stuck in reverse. I got it towed home and this morning jacked it up to remove the reverse light switch. Completed the field repair by prying it out of reverse.
Got the car back down and it shifts fine into 1-5. However getting the shifter near the reverse position is difficult, and getting it back into reverse is hard. To get it out of reverse I have to push very very hard.
The car has no modifications as far as I am aware of. I am going to bleed the system as soon as someone is here to hold the clutch down for me.
Thank you in advance!
Update:
Bled it, there was no air in the lines. Still having the same problem. Haven't taken a look at the master/slave yet. Don't know much about them so I have some reading to do. Read somewhere that I possibly overtightened the reverse light switch so I'm going out now with my last few minutes of day light to loosen it a bit. Will update.

Took about 3 mins and my problem was fixed. Loosened the switch and now it shifts like butter again. If anyone sees this and needs pics I would be more than happy to provide them. I just need to figure out how tight I can make the switch without it causing problems. Too loose and I'll end up getting it stuck in reverse again, too tight and it is a pain to shift.
