im off sat to,my car is not going to be ready but if anyone goes maybe i can go get my dads GTU and put that on the dyno for a run.Let me know if yall are still up for it.Zach have you researched your break up at 3500?After putting the sleeves back in my car i can understand how the actuators actually get stuck the ports where the sleeves go were very dirty with carbon i had to clean the hell outta them just to get the sleeves to fit back in there i wanted to go with the pineapple sleeves but i dont have time to wait for them to get here,so ill do that with the new motor.I think my motor is just about gone its carboned up very bad and was just cleaned less than a year ago when the intakes where pulled off last time. Its not as bad but just as bad the pics are after i cleaned it up a bit,i should of took pics before i cleaned it but i was to dirty to mess with the camera, and beer was starting to set in..

Good lord, this place exploded this weekend! What the hell are you guys doing on the computer? Your supposed to be partying at night and hungover during the day.
Good to hear from you Stephen. You need to get that FD up here for the dyno run!
Robin, I have no idea what Pjay is talking about. You can't eliminate overlap unless you JB weld your exhaust port smaller. Your certainly not shooting yourself in the foot, only keeping it streetable, while Pjay's idea of streetable is a fully bridged 1st gen idling at 3000 RPM.
Micheal (Mike?), Paul wasn't too bad. We can appreciate he is trying to learn. It's just a bit of a stressfull situation rebuilding an engine because you want everything to go right, so its hard to answer a million questions.
David, I think my breakup is a delay in the 6 ports opening up, since I'm still running off exhaust backpressure. According to the dyno chart it starts to break around 5500. Oh, and for the record, its 137 rwhp now .
Brian, I havn't done anything since the last run. I think I'll do it again just for the hell of it. There are a few things I could try: Wiring the 6 ports open, adding ground wires, something. We could do the TB mod and see what happens, but thats a bit more permanent than the latter.
Matt, we understand a British car pulling in the double digits is still a sports car, its ok.
Joe, get your *** out to this dyno run. You've put on aftermarket mufflers, so you have no excuse. Its only 35 bucks!
Me, you have the best looking RX-7 on this thread. Good job.

Well, the insurance man came to see my car this morning. He called a few minutes ago after doing his research to tell me the car is a total. He said the computer system has to do a search to figure out the fair market value of the car to see how much money I am going to get. The good news however, is that the salvage value of my car is only $75.00. So I will get a check for FMV-Salvage value. I will let you all know when they call me about the FMV.

No I do not have to work Wednesday, but now I am not sure that I will be able to make it. I will call you tonight and let you know for sure. Erie called me today. He said they established the fair market value of my car to be about 2300. I told him that I wanted a minimum of 3000 and asked where we should go from here since 2300 was not enough. He said that he agreed with me and a check for 3000 would be in the mail this afternoon. I did not appreciate the low balling, but I am glad he was easy to work with. How is the s/c going dave?

I have the S/C installed i just ran into a slight problem well kinda a big problem ive had for awhile NO tools or garage kinda SUXXX.Na really though,i couldnt get the pulleys off im going to borrow my dads electric impact gun and see if that will get it off if not i guess its back to the drawing board for me.I put the intakes back on today and started it up to make sure i didnt have any vacuum leaks,it ran good other than running rich(all 4 550's injectors) i took it to redline and let off the gas and it shot off a horrific flame.Pretty cool but not good for da lawn.

I think thats cool you did a bit of negotiating with the insurance man. We can all take something from this. Guess that means no more debt for Robin! I'm waiting on my tax refund check to get rid of mine.
David, you should take a picture of your massive backfire! If you need any tools, let me know. We've got tons of stuff.

Your simple math was correct Zach. The check is going to be just over 3000 though. He said they had to include some kind of tax that I would have to pay which was $90 so the total is going to be $3015 or so.
What time do you want to work on the car today? I am going to the hospital now, but I won't be there for more than an hour or two.

I haven't posted here in a while but I would still like to meet up with all of you.
Is everyone meeting this Saturday (1/4) at 11:00. I think I have read all of the posts and this was the final. Also where are all of you meeting at?
