Yeah, I second the kudos to Kearney Auto. I had sugar in my tank (don't know how it got there, maybe b4 I bought it) and they did a great job taking care of my fuel system. I'll be going there for any maintenance needs from now on. Just don't leave your car there overnight outside their shop!!!

I saw Louis Matthews' Rx7 at the Rotary Revolution in Chantilly. Turbos were apart on the bench awaiting a rebuild. Owners of the company said the new motor ran fine except for excessive oil getting dumped into it from turbo failure. They seem to think it may be done by the weekend.
BTW, that place in Capitol Heights that "RX74LIFE" writes about is Kearney Racing. According to long time Mazda owners, they should be ok for 1st gens and old z cars, but can't imagine they have much experience with FDs.
In the DC area, can't imagine you could do better than Rotary Performance or Rotary Revolution. All of the people who visit these shops seem to be very happy with their work.

Oui prononced Oeey. mechanic at
Z auto center
Laurel, MD
301-498-8344
Own's a 2nd and a 3rd gen. and other cars with turbo's.
He races a little.
I'd like to get him as much work as possible. I've had him do some manual transmission repair and replace a radiator. Labor cost is right. He's a straight shooter, excited about working on rotories. Interview him, you'll see what I mean.

probably the best on the east cost, they have their own mills and crap, plus a dyno for tuning, after that I'd say RP in Mannasses VA.

Auto Craftsmen Ltd.
VERMONT (Montpelier)
Autocraftsmen Ltd. (Chip Tremper)
(802) 223-2253
He's not a rotary enthusiats by any stretch of the imgaination, but finding someone willing and capable of working on a rotary was no mean feat in this neck of the woods. I wonder what will happen now that the Evolve is out - when i brought mine to the dealer before the RX-8, they just scratched their heads.
