Thanks FD! How is it you're a 11 year member and only have 11 posts? Talk about lurking, lol.

Haha, yeah. The board has plenty of sources for information so I never really needed to post just used the search feature a lot. After seeing how long I've been on here, I decided to finally just buy one already and I'm super happy with it!

Why did you decide to go STi or the Evo? I have an X GSR for a daily. =)

I'm a long time STi fan. We owned a 96 Outback for ten years when I gave it to my mom and it's still running. So longevity was part of the STi choice. My wife wants to give our minivan to our eldest and told me I need to get myself a new car. So I sold the 7 for extra down payment dough and expect to pick her up on Colorado Springs. My kids always called the 7 "the red car" so I just had to get a red STi so we'll still have a red car. Oh yeah, with van in my daughter's hands, I needed something that would allow me drive around with most of the family.

So tell us about your FD? Are you actually old enough to remember floppy disks? I assume so with the Princess Bride quote.

Sounds like prime reasons to go with the STi. They're great cars.

93 152K black on black, 666 is in the last of the VIN haha, it has a Seibon carbon fiber hood, M2 Intercooler, Koyo Radiator, Pettit AST, Apexi PowerFC, Exedy Stage 2 Clutch, ACT Light Flywheel, Simplified Twin Turbo, replaced vacuum lines, lighter pullers, CX Racing Coil Overs, Greddy power extreme 4inch which is I want to replace with Racing Beat 3in if anyone has got one, looking to trade? And more mods.

Pulled it from the board here:
https://www.rx7club.com/3rd-generati...k-rx7-1083444/

I didn't take his seats though. Great seller!

Love the coated UIM. Base seats!! They're my favorite. I much prefer them than the leather. Leather seats suck in the summer and they're slippery. Overall a great lookin' car. Great buy!

I definitely agree, driven leather seats in the summer here, not in a 7, but leather seats none the less. I much prefer cloth. Oh and yes, I am old enough to remember floppy disks.

I am looking for a set of stock FC shocks and springs. I have the awful godspeed projects coilovers, and I want to get rid of them. I was lacking space when I swapped them so I threw the stockers away.

Spotted: Black FD with subtle side skirts heading down 64W towards North Hampton exit. Passed and waved at you in driving by in my blue RX8 R3. Anybody? Not a whole lot of traffic here anymore.

I am now a member.

I wish I was not in a super financial tight spot so I can work on the FC. I need to fix the noise in the rearend. My guess is the bearings are going bad.

What tires would you guys recommend running through the the year in the newport news/Norfolk area on stock fd rims. Looking for good wet and dry grip, how bad is the snow in the area would one set of tires be sufficient?
