Will probably try to make it out to one of the C&C when you guys all go. My car probably wont be getting to VA for another couple weeks as its going to the body shop out in AZ before getting shipped out.

Pete - Would love to pick your brain about track setup and such. Aiming to use the FD for HPDE's.

Anyone need any body parts before I scrape this pig. Only good parts are p-side front clip and some floor boards.

All I gotta say is it's easier taking it apart than putting it back together again

Not sure when the next meet is. There's a Dulles cars and coffee, but think it's quiet in the winter. I generally don't go cause it's a little bit of a hike for me and it's early (only get up early on the weekends to go fishing). Believe they have a FB site. I have no idea what goes on on the other side of the river.

There will be a beginning of the season cruise late April or early May (we wait for the salt to be washed away by a good rain or two). That is usually the start to the car season, some people drive their cars year-round but I don't think anyone goes to meets regularly in the winter. Keep your eyes on this thread, I'll post a link to the cruise thread when it gets planned.

While you all are waiting, feel free to bounce around some ideas for the route. We could do the usual Shenandoah trip or we can try going to a drag strip again and follw that with back roads in MD, like we did a few years back. Are enough cars going to be ready for the strip at that point? or should we push it back to the Fall?

Here's some links if you are new to the area: Most Recent Trip , Drag strip Trip

I don't think I'll be there for this one... The FD hasn't budged, the Miata is now mangled, and I think it may still be a bit early in the season for riding the motorcycle up the side of a mountain...

It's winter time! Winter time is for making your car better, not going to car meets

What an interesting turbo setup. I haven't seen one mounted so low on a RX7 before.

Are any of you guys planning on ordering parts from Ray Crowe soon? I left a hood prop rod clip and cargo cover hangar support off of my last order and the flat rate shipping he has doesn't make ordering them without anything else a great idea!
I miss the days of being able to drive up to Malloy!

If nobody is making a buy, any Mazda dealer should be able to get them, but unlike Malloy they won't be in stock and will be more expensive. I go to Ray when his prices+shipping beat the local dealership, or if I'm lazy now that Rosenthal closed

I can wait a little bit, they're nothing I need in a rush, just things I easily forget! Malloy Mazda and Ray used to be about 15 minutes away from my old house and 15-20 from the new one, I got spoiled.

Why not just buy my hood dampers, new in box and skip needing the hood prop... lol Gonna have a 5 month old set and a NIB set as I switched to the low pressure for a light hood.

There's a C&C at Dulles Landing now that's fun, and a lot more manageable in terms of how early you need to get there to park, etc. A friend of mine organizes it. I've been out 2-3 times.
