Hey Brent,

It was great to meet another fellow FD autoxer last weekend! I hope to make it out to some more events this year so I'll see you around.

Where did you move to, VA? I'm right in Dumfries and am stoked about your garage too!

Nice! Some day my dream is to have a house with enough space to build a dedicated garage w/workshop. Until then, everything is crammed in like sardines because my house has no basement or attic and therefore everything ends up in the garage with the cars, tools, and bikes. Ah well, first world problems :P

Yeah, same here. Eventually we want to buy a house with a two car garage, then build a detached work area with 3-4 bays, a lift, welding station, etc., etc.

Yo Brent, great to have another FD out. I should have made the time to get a ride along with you. I'm kicking myself now for it. Hope you had a good time and come out to some more events.

Coming back to Alexandria eh? Sounds like a sweet spot, let me know if you have any free parking spots available I could use somewhere to park some toys.

I can pay by doing some welding jobs...

Sweet, I know that area well and work close by. This is the year for your FD, tell your wife that you're doing no house projects until it's back on the road!

Nice! I used to live near Kingstown, so I'm relatively familiar with the area. Since we're still renting (bummer) there won't be any house projects... only car.

Le garage: (sadly, I think one spot will belong to brewing stuff, the bike, and lawnmowers)

I wasn't bold enough to believe I could get a garage spot, the FB would just feel happier if I got it out of the alley and put it near other cars again.

Also, who wants a racing FB that now looks as fast as it goes? I'd consider letting it go for $3500 with car cover and spares.

Sweet! I call at least one ride along. I've been wanting to get a ride in that thing at full nasty.

You've got the 7670 in there right? The ride might be all it takes for me to finally place my order.

Ah, that I think is doable (and easier to sell to the wife!)

edit: there are SOOOO many colors to choose from it's hard to decide. I want to try them all. Never mind the color shift and chameleon colors :P

edit2: Took the car to work today. Snapped a quick pic in the parking lot. Couldn't wait to see it in the daylight for the first time

Finally did my FC... It didn't turned out great, I will give it a 7 out of 10. Had some runs, LOTS of over spray, AND ran out of yellow

Thanks, from short distance, its evident that I ran out of paint, and had a few paint runs. All in all, I am happy with the results, and she definitely looks better than before.

BTW - You are more than welcome to borrow the paint gun/compressor that I used. Its not the DYC brand/setup, but its very similar.

sure thing, I signed up for 2 slots

Yeah, the 7670 is in, but it's still at very low boost, so don't expect anything too crazy. I definitely need to get my boost control solenoid wired up and tuned.

Thanks!

I guess anything closer than 10ft, and the opinions will change

I did, almost 2 gal of black as base, 2 gals of white, and 2 gals of yellow (needed at least 3 of yellow, 4 gal would've done the trick)

Its amazing how the dark color covers really quick, and the light colors not so much lol

Did you experienced LOTS of overspray with your gun/setup?
