Oxygenated Race Fuels

I have been using some oxygenated race fuels in my Cougar with decent results, however that engine is 13.2:1 compression and a piston engine. In researching the technology, they are getting really strong results with lower compression sealed moters or crate engines. It seems that the oxygen contained in the fuel helps engines that are airflow constrained due to bad port design or lower compression better than the freer flowing race motors. It also seems to add some decent levels of low end torque which is really a positive. So, I am wondering if anyone has tried this on a rotary yet?

We have really bad design combustion chambers, lowish compression (both good), but monster flowing ports (not so good). I drop about $300 an hour in fuel to run the Cougar, so while the cost is heavy, I do pay this at times to play with one of the cars. I am just concerned about the sunk costs to tune the cars to run this fuel and then the volatility and possible chemistry effects by adding oil to it as pre-mix.

Anyone tried this and have any ideas? We have no fuel rules and an extra 10 - 15 hp or ft-lbs of torque, would be really helpful.

Eric
