Sorry to hear those FC bearings are so much more expensive. I hope that the nuts work out for you. My neighbor is going to press my new bearings and wheel studs in some time this week. If I can sell some stuff I'll be able to order some bushings and put then in now while everything is apart. Otherwise, I'll just wait.

Yeah I went up to Farmington for the last event and also did the g-lot event. Neither me or my dad will be up there this weekend. I was planning to race mountain bikes up in AngelFire, but took a spill last night doing a ride up near Tijeras and am hurting pretty good. So I will probably take it easy and hang out this weekend. Haven't talked to Phil in a while, not sure if he will be there or not (I'd suspect not..).
Good luck in F-town!

So car is back together as you probably saw i posted earlier, I've been driving it for a couple weeks now but have run into a new problem.
I need a new engine. Unless there's another explanation for some of the coolant getting burned off and the rest of the entire cooling system being ejected into the overflow and once that's full (takes about an hour of constant driving in this heat), onto the ground which ultimately results in the engine getting into overheating territory by the time i make it home after work?
I have an S5 shortblock i can probably throw together but don't know if it's any good; Looks good to me but without having any prior experience with these engines i couldn't honestly say. But i was also thinking maybe T2 swap...? Anyone feel like hooking me up with a good price on a running engine i can either throw in or overhaul real quick?

Justin, it does indeed sound like your coolant seals are bad. Same problem Jake had with his motor. The only fix is a rebuild. Don't drive it anymore. You will cause irrepairable damage to what could be good parts. It only takes one time overheating to warp housings.

Phil
my brakes are awesome but really touchy, I need to finish dialing in my alignment and possibly get a new steering box, my lash seems to be out a bit, I am going to have to reset the lash and if it doesnt clean up the slop then a new box is in order. Also i put a new clutch master cyl. in b/c my old one blew out the day b4 the sat race.

Good luck. There are a slew of books on the subject, but I found Engine Management Advanced Tuning by Greg Banish to be a decent introduction to the basics.

I'm selling my wideband O2 sensor and controller. It has analog narrowband output for the stock ECU. PM if interested.
Got it and half way through it. Nice chemistry lesson and I like how he goes into the details of tuning for peak torque or fuel economy. I can't really do a bang up job right now because I don't have a wideband o2. That'll have to come later. Hopefully I can sell some spare parts.
