First New Mexico Rotary RX BBQ!

Hey everyone, I was recently informed by Tom at Rotary RX that he is planning a BBQ around the end of may/beginning of June. It will for sure be on a Saturday. We can eat, meet, greet, and have a Rotary RX Rotorfest! I'll keep you all posted as soon as Tom makes an actual date, but for now keep your plans free for the end of May/beginning of June!

Thumbs up Rotor Fest

The date for the New Mexico BBQ has been set for June 11th 2005. That is the second Saturday of the month so keep you schedules open. We are going to be having it at Rotary RX, the sponsor for the 1st annual BBQ, starting at 11 am and going until whenever. Tom said he would like a tentative list before the 11th of all that are planning to come so he can arrange to get appropriate food and drinks for all who plan to attend. Once again this is a state wide event and all are welcome, from RX-2 to 8's. For now just post on this thread if you plan to attend and we will make a more comprehensive list in the early part of June. I hope to see everyone there

Wink The "Father Time" story

Okay, here's the long version - One night at RotaryRX, we were hanging out, harrassing each other. Andy, Tommy's "baby" brother who has a short forehead, popped off and made a rather startling and vivid remark about my wife. A big no-no with a 54 yr old Catholic who is half Irish/half Scilian with a German Jewish last name and breaks out in "spots" when he drinks. I was instantly chasing him, and he was so worried about me killing him that he slammed into a car in the parking lot. Tommy chewed on him, saying he was going to dent the car. The kid isn't little, and it was a pretty hefty collision! Don't dogs run into parked cars? I was still pissed until Andy defensively stated, "Well, what do you want me to do with old "Father Time" chasing me all over the place!" Tommy and I lost it. I was crying and forgot I was pissed. Andy lives on to continue being a smart ***. Tonight, he told me to "shut up Chucky and break a hip" (BTW - as he was walking away). I wonder how long I'll think this is witty and funny. Hmmmmmmmmm! Anyway, the "Father Time" moniker stuck! I am going to name all my car's something appropriate and associate with the new moniker.

Someday, I'll tell you about the "spots" End of story.
