M84 Smartphone app

Hi Guys.

Ive (we) finally gotten my C-series 424 20B up and running and Im in 7th heaven!!! Car is a 1993 R1 black RX-7 FD3S

Im running it with a Motec M84 and all appears to be well.

However having lost the pfc commander and not knowing if all the original gauges will work again Im looking for a new option. Unfortunatly I dont much like the look of the Motec dash datalogger and think it would be a cool feature to have your smartphone display all you ecu info via bluetooth, speed, tacho, oil pressure, water temp etc.

Im thinking in the lines of this one:

Will that be possible with a motec ecu? Motec just tells me to go and by their datalogger and display but its pretty pricey and pretty ugly!

What options do I have with the UTC unit? Can I run the mi2 software on my phone and use that as display?

Thanks

You have a ton of options when it comes to Data display and logging.

Stack Dash
AIM Dash (as well as their kart dashs mychron3 which would display data similarly to your commander)
The m84 can push a TON of data to any one of these devices, most of which are user programable.

But if youre looking for a fuzzy kitten GUI interface like an Iphone app, your sadly either going to be paying upwards of 20,000 for a data aquisition system that operates this way, or waiting quite a while.

Racing technology is all function. Form is only considered to make a driver/engineers job easier.

Thanks man! yeah Ive seen those, just dont like the look of them, im keeping my ride as close to stock as I can, well not under the hood obviously (LOL) Right now ive got my wideband and boost gauges in the glovebox so the police wont freak out if they pull me over, not that they would know a 2 rotor from a 3 rotor but theres no need to get them all excited just cuz they pulled over a streetracer with tonnes of gauges everywhere in the car! Dropping a 20B into an RX-7 in Denmark is pretty illegal! Im monitoring the engine right now with a laptop but Its just not working with everything flying around every time you hit a little boost! Anyway Im told that my stock gauges will work again once we figure out how to connect it all, ohm resistors and what have we, Im not an electrician, so im not really sure what it take but it seems that the Motec ECU can easily handle that as well.

You can use one of the new D153 or D157 Mini dashes. The D153 is similar to the Commander and the older MDD. The D153 is a color display which makes for easier reading.

D153
MoTeC > D153 > Overview

D157
