Engine builder/tuner in Wisconsin
I know Howard Coleman builds engines and I know beyond redline in green bay does tuning but want to look around to see other options.
I want a stock build and to keep the stock twins. Builder and tuners must be a very good reputable shop/person.
I need a builder and tuner around the fox valley area. I have Apexi Power Commander FC

i expected very little when i first move here. i use to live in CA and a good amount of rotary shops there. so a big change for me lol

Someone just opened one in the Eau Claire area in the last year. Coincidently it's named CaliStyleRotary Rebuilds, Lol. Not sure of work quality or reputation though.
The lack of these shops and the prices for these "Specialty" rebuilds led me to rebuild and reinstall myself.

actually when i started, california had a horrible reputation even though it had a fair amount of shops. so the name is actually not fitting, unless you want to scare off customers. there's still plenty of shitty shops there too, and with a stupid name like that this is probably another one of their remnants.
ever wonder why there's never any records for rotary cars out there even though it's the wealthiest high population rotary state?

Banzai is the only one I'd trust in the midwest. Or if you want to drive farther, Rotary Resurrection in Tennessee is fantastic to work with.
There is an alarming amount of bias, misinformation and sketchy reputations of shops and shops that have failed in the past. Look up the history of A-spec tuning in Schaumburg, specifically when they were closing down. They were screwing people over and the crazy thing was, most forum members on here were defending A-spec! Don't take peoples word as gospel on suggesting a shop. I've talked to guys that sang the praises of one shop, and six months later found out that place screwed them.
I have kept a close study on the reputations, problems, and resolutions of all the local shops as I'll be needing work done soon. I suggest you do the same. I wouldn't let any of the current known shops in WI or IL lay a finger on my car.

though some people would rather not eat than ever intentionally screw someone over, so those examples shouldn't be treated as standards.

Banzai racing was one of my 3 choices I had in mind. Howard was the 1st because he was closer to me and since I moved here, Howard been very helpful and respectful on my decisions. I'm gonna stick with Howard for now.
