Hot Start after Tuning Idle

I just finished my project and finally I turned on the engine, turn well but is very rich in idle (I burn spark plug), I have come down to idle to 1.19 at the screen "idle" in vacuum to obtain a mixture of 12.5: 1 but after a warm engine does not turn, I leave my map to see where I can correct my setup is as follows:

- 13b semiperipheral
- Four Barrel E&J
- 8 ID1000
- GT42r
- Microtech LT10s
- Premix 100:1

you tune the idle screens when fully warmed and tps calibrated

any other adjustments to sustain the idle while cold go onto screen 20 coolant correction

you must also remember that while in prestage, the ecu is taking the look up table number and adding to it the staging %

ie..1.43 + 50 % = 2.145

2.145 ms is a lot of fuel from 1000cc primaries for idle

consider the realtime idle value with a 550 cc injector on a stock engine is 2.3 ms

1.1 to 1.2 ms ( when warmed ) in the look up table is about right with a 1000 cc injector
this will work out to be about 1.6-1.8 ms in realtime on the handset data screens

if this is not catching when cold , then you need to move the screen 20 numbers at the appropriate running temp

but first you need to clean the plugs before making changes to be sure you are not being fooled into playing the map around by the faulty plugs

you also need to remove all those fuel cuts
despite what you read here .. fuel cuts on microtechs KILL rotary engines..
i have seen that time and time again
they do not cut as cleanly as you would like.. the rev limit cuts only the secondaries
and generally with most tunes there is an overlap of wet walled fuel with the next intake cycle
so even revcut and boost cut are often not the total fuel cut you where expecting

I completely understand what you mention me but I have a doubt:

- The table that takes as reference when adding the% temp and crank in water temp is the load screen?

- Mentions the prestage in idle but do not understand, I understand this function is activated to meet the Revstg and Mapstg? in my case to reach 3000rpm and 5 psi?

-*No mention crank screen when I have to change it?

-*Finally I understand the microtech works well to crank the engine: load screen + crank screen, once you turn the engine passes: load screen + water screen, *in that moment he begins to read the idle screen?

the realtime idle value is displayed in the data screens on the handset

it is made up from the idle ( if tps calibrated ) or load ( if not calibrated ) look up table value
( in your case 1.48 ms )

+ the staging % ( whilst under the 5 in Hg and 3000 rpm flag thresholds )

+ the coolant correction map factor

when the engine is at 90 c,, fully warmed
,,there is zero in the coolant correction maps
and so your current value is 1.48 ms ( look up table value ) + the staging % ( 50 %)
= 2.145 ms

NOTE: if the TPS is in calibration.. the ecu sees that you are in idle and drops to the idle lookup table values
if the TPS is not in calibration,, the ecu thinks you are in off idle,, and uses the load look up table values

//
when you crank.. all injectors fire
.. and the ecu is using the ( post stage ) load value from the lookup table and adding to it the cranking % correction and the coolant temp % correction

technically,, you should not have to adjust the crank screen if you have the load screens correctly set for your injector size
( which i doubt you have yet )

asided when you are cranking
the flags for 5 inch Hg and for 3000 rpm determine the moment the ecu engages all four injectors, and when above these thresholds it uses the look up table value directly

when either of the two thresholds flags are not met
then the ecu is firing only two injectors,, but using the look up table + the staging % value to get the realtime value

I would raise you dwell to 3.50 to get optimum performance from your ignition.

Don't use the revlim. Revcut, or boost cut set to a maximum number or off.

If your using the car for the street the opt decel feature can be used as well.
