Question about Launch Control, and sensors

Morning all,

I am doing some tuning tweaking on my test mule. And need more data.. and or cleaner data. For my continued abuse of her.

The car is a 86 Sport, former track day car I abused long ago, that my sons (early 20s) begged me to pull out and throw together again.
Motor is a 13B 6-port. The housings etc were all ported and set up for Eprod, but my sons "convinced" me to bridgeport it too.

So now its a (half) Bridgeport 13B, with IGN1A coils, FFE crank trigger, and a ITB setup. 4x750cc injectors.
Needless to say its pretty scrappy, and angry, and entertaining to attempt some driving tunes.

I am replacing the water temp sensor I had already with one from DIYAutotune.

I am adding, fuel pressure, oil pressure and oil temp.

SO I am thinking.....

I have to use White Connector 19,20, 21 for those inputs?

AND more importantly.. IF.. I use those.

How in the world.... Do I configure/set up the launch control??

Now I have spent weeks on and off searching this issue. And there are diagrams for all sorts of basic wiring and simpler wiring setups for a plethora of cars. (Thank you Aaron for your drawings. Even though they are not exactly mine they were a great reference)

SO it appears.. some people wire it to a brake switch. Some wire to a relay.
All of them say.. Hit the launch control button............................... What button? Where? A button you wire in? To what on the ECU?
And then the limit switch is grounded.. so it knows you are ready........ Ok so the switch is grounded.. WHAT WIRE? And do you need a diode? Or a relay to insulate it or something?

The interesting part.. I have searched all over the place through different car forums.. and outside of the Rotary world.. its like asking a old v8 guy what they have done to the engine.. "Its stock" What wire? The wire..... What one? The one...

Yes I need a dew.. its morning.. but its annoying AF.

Thoughts? Ideas appreciated, and or info from anyone who has already configured it.

What version of Megasquirt? I'm guessing MSPro as your signature states. MS3X/MS3Pro both have provisions out of the box for launch control. MS1/2 require hardware modifications to make it work but it's simple and cheap.

MSPro has a host of available input wires that can be assigned to launch control. Essentially, you tell the MS what wire is your launch control button in the settings in Tuner Studio. Then you connect that wire to a normally open momentary switch that connects to ground. Push in the button, the ECU wire sees ground, MS activates launch control.
It look like pin Digital Switched In 1, Digital Switched In 2, Digital Switched In 3 would all work, but check the manual to make sure.

In the past, I've used the stock clutch switch which is a normally open momentary switch under the dash. The stock switch has 1/4" spare connections that will work with normal female spade butt connectors. I wire one pin to an eyelet that gets grounded and the other to a pin on the ECU. If you want, you can add an on/off toggle switch to turn off launch control if you need. The benefit of putting the launch control on the clutch switch is that it can bet setup for flat-shifting in the Launch Control settings in TS.

Thanks for the replies.

Yes MS3Pro universal.

Sorry brain fart on the writing of it.

So digital in 1 2 or 3. And a interrupt switch so its not triggering constantly. Makes sense. And is simple enough that would explain why nobody bothers to write up anything.
Flatshift is something I also wanted, with all the other features that it has.
