Sorry no update really, hooked up a ground with no change. I haven't had any time to do real work on it and won't for a while, so the tuner came to pick it up today and he is going to finish it up. I told him to let me know what the issue was when he finds it, so I'll post it up here when he does, so we'll have some closure.

Ok, the car is hitting the dyno tomorrow, so it is obviously running now. The problem turned out to be because I went with Aaroncake's wiring diagram but didn't have the same setup. It was a problem with the pinout on the DB37.

I don't know where he got them from, but the tuner had the correct pinouts printed out side by side to show me when I stopped by. How mine was wired was correct for an MS2V3.0, which is what I have. However, I am using the zeal board. Apparently that changes the pin locations a little bit. He repinned the DB37 and it fired right up!

The pinout problem was my fault 100%, Aaroncake's DIY writeup was great. If I had just followed it exactly instead of changing stuff around I would not have had this problem.

The importance of following one install writeup rears it's ugly head again.
