Quick update... Been really busy at work..
The car start and idle beautifully all the sensor are reading and the timing is spot on with the hall sensor and EFF wheel...
It has been a learning process for Erick ( Rotary Werks) and me... we have move forward slowly for safety reason... We still need to get some features working on the V88..

We currently have a EGT sensor reading 120 c more than the other.. We don't know why.. We put more fuel to that rotor and the car start to misfire ... It not fuel...

Will be hitting the dyno next week if God permits... It been a long wait but I know I will be happy with the result..

try the individual rotor timing trim to retrieve the rotor temps .

though some difference is normal as no 2 probes sit identically within the same parts of the exhaust streams

The car is home after 4 month....
We tune the car at 11 PSI in a different dyno came up with the same WHP at 11 psi.. At the same whp the car is totally different (driveability) behavior with the Vi-Pec compared to the microtech....

I love driving the car now with this setup...

video and pictures update to come... I love the new racepack dash ....

Good to hear you've had a better experience with this versus microwhack

I forgot to thank Erick from Rotary Werks for all his hard work on the car.... His tune are great even in a new system ECU for him...

Now is my turn to help cleaning the engine bay

The car is driving so smooth... Night and day to compare to my old ECU..

The only real problem is to learn all the options and put them to work..... It been hard for me to get my rotary tuner to really learn the ViPec ecu features .... I am currently looking for help online.. Maybe someone can remote tune and setup those parameters and finish my tune..

My main concern is to get my V88 to read my FJO correctly to set target AFR and fuel pressure drop fail safe also ...

I email Neal @ apexspeedtech today, let see what he can do for me...

My local tuner can't get the Vipec to read correctly my FJO Wideband reading.... To setup the target AFR ...
I guess their is a calibration setup issue...

Quick update .. Got a new wideband NGK with NTK sensor ... I think is much easier to get this one to work than my FJO with the ViPec and be on the safe side( this wideband is also recommended by ViPec)....

I like to thanks Dave from protuning from Australia (Pro Tuning Cairns) he has been very helpful answering all my question about my V88 and problem solving.... He also took the time to check my PCL file and make sure everything was setup correctly according to my wire install pin out of my V88....

He has giving more of his time and attention that most tuners that live here in the US...

Will report back after the NGK wideband install...

Why isn't the fjo reading correctly ?

If the afr to voltage settings are correct it should be fine proving it doesn't have a major ground offset issue between the wideband and the ecu.

Wow what great day of tuning ...Finally got Dave from http://www.dtechmotorsport.com to remote tune my car.. Boy what a difference.. It feels 1000 time better.. I seen many tunes and tuner in my 15 years around cars and let me tell you Dave has some mad skills when it comes to the Vipec V88.. I watch him work around the Vipec software and do thing with it that blew my mind.. This ECU is great piece of hardware if you know how to work with it... This tune time today we used to setup everything little thing correctly in the Vipec software.. From target AFR to injectors dead time to trail and leading to coils dwell time.. He also setup some failsafe to protect the engine in case of fuel pressure drop and EGT events... The EV fuel map looks great... Next week we are going to finish the tune but before I need to get some information for Dave on my trigger wheel and connect my 4 port boost solenoid to the Vipec for better boost control and some more failsafe options... I will also like to thanks Eric from Rotary Werks for all his help and dyno time in his shop.. He has always been their for my car.. More to come.. I have a short video that I will upload when I get home..

I know bro... But technology help these days... I have a ATT hot spot in my car for road tuning... He can be connected to my laptop on the street and can talk to me via VIBER on my iphone....

Next week we will be road tuning if God permits.... Highway and normal street tuning!

We are moving forward...

Little Update from the Dyno: we took the car to 16 PSI and made 407 whp and 320 tq.. Dyno sheet to come Eric had to go home for anniversary... Remember my stock GSL-SE differential don't like power...

I am in love with this 30 year old car ... More to come from the Dyno next week.. We are setting up the knock sensor.. I had RX8 knock sensor but my tuner recommend some bosh unit that I will install next week..

I can finally run any ethanol content from E10 to E85.... We also play with the Ethanol temperature 4D tables..
We are also controlling the boost via the vipec and added safety with over boost and other features with the boost valve.. All my sensor are working and earnings their pay...

I also receive today something that I think is very important in our cars... Safety first..

thinks that having AFR measurement pre turbo is a no no.. for probe life, but i think also the backpressure skews results

( becuase the wideband is always comparing the sample to "free air " found from inside the wiring pigtail and having high backpressure at the sample point excludes the reference sample of 'free' air )

much better to have individual exhaust temp senders each runner
and a single wideband after the turbo to best gauge individual rotor tunes

PS
aem sell a "exhaust backpressure " kit 30-2064 which is intended to match with the 4 channel UEGO to allow you to compensate the readings taken pre turbo

Back pressure kit 30-2064 order and already install on the car sir... Thanks for the tip.. Had to order the kit after reading the AEM wideban instructions... I also got 2 02 bung caps tops from summit racing... I will take the 02 sensor off pre turbo after tuning is done... Let see how everything turns out..... Pics of the install and tune coming soon....

UPDATES...

Finally got the car on the dyno for a break in tune.. many changes on the car...( new Rotary Werks exhaust manifold with twins precision wastegate, Pre Turbo wide band and Semi peripheral high compression rotors.)

Dave form Dtech motorsports from New Zealand did a great job setting the new sensors and tuning the beast .. The car feel's great ...

Now is up to me to get some miles before we do the high boost tune... The Semi Peripheral is great and the turbo comes alive quick compare to the street port only..

Screen shot of the remote tune on Friday... Dave from Dtech Motorsport really know his ViPec ECU... You can see in the picture all the sensors working in harmony, specially in the log files ....
