San Diego, restoring 93 touring

Hi, I'm Tom.
Look forward to good advice while I rebuild/restore my 93 touring. Made the account the day before buying the car, guy told met it was a 94, but it's a 93, so that explains my screen name. Have a bit of work to do, see picture. Awful wide body kit, blocky as sin.

First body mod, tear off back end. RXs are supposed to be sexy, not square.

Oof, that wide body kit is awful.

Also look out for wheel spacers. I've seen a few "wide body" cars with spacers slapped in on stock lugs, with the wheel nuts grabbing on to just a handful of threads.

I would love his number. I live over the hill in Eucalyptus Hills, part of Lakeside. I have a buddy that can help work on it, but he is usually straped for time, so a 2nd # would be great. Do you live in East County, would like to see other local Rx7 to get ideas on what IC/Rad setup work's best for our weather, and just go for a group ride on the weekends.

I no longer live in San Diego, however, you should be able to meet some fellow RX owners at the local monthly meet. Although this thread is dated, they should still be meeting. Used to be a lot of FD owners, but that number seems to be decreasing.

Good luck with your build.

I joined the club already actually, meet up June 6th. Looking to get good info there, but thanks for the heads up. Sorry to hear you had to leave S.D. year round driving weather.
