I may be new to this particular forum, but not to the "game". My name is Dan Lipperini Jr and I've been around cars since I was born as my father has been a long-time SCCA racer. My first race car was an RX-3 back when I was 18. Over the next 32 years I've had An RX-2, RX-4, RE-PU's, numerous first gen RX-7's, currently a second gen RX-7 and a bunch of other rotary powered toys. My younger brother Joel has raced with SCCA, NASA, IMSA, SVRA and Pirelli World Challenge. Together we have won 5 SCCA National Championships and currently run a race-prep and fabrication shop, RaceLabz. We build customer cars and play with our own fleet of toys!

I currently have a 2nd Gen RX-7 SCCA race car and a Lotus 7 replica powered by a 13-B turbo out of an RX-7 Turbo II. It's 245 RWHP and weighs 1350#. It's quite an exhilarating ride!!!! I've built several Lotus 7 replicas and try to utilize Mazda parts in each of them since its something that I'm familiar with. I use Miata front spindle/hubs, RX-7 rear axle tubes and Miata steering racks.

I figured that since this is one of the bigger and better Mazda forums on the interwebs, I would join and gather more information for future builds.
