Finally became an FD owner! Little bit of background on me, I came from a few C5Z's in my younger years. Absolutely loved those cars and builds. 1st one was a forged 347 with a maggie and 150 shot. 2nd one was a 383 with a custom whipple 3.3 setup on top. Have always had my heart set on the FD since their inception, and now I finally own one. Was able to find the car through a friend that was not even listed local to me, and after a few phone calls, the car was mine. It needs some work, but thankfully the previous owner was already prepping the car to paint, etc..
Plans for the car.
-swap tan interior to black (already underway, just struggling to find certain black pieces)
-ordered 99 spec front clip already
-LED tail and duck lip (perhaps you guys can point me the in right direction on a nice piece and fair price?
-LS3/TR6060 pullout is what I'm after. Just waiting to finish paying back uncle sam from this years taxes before I can pull the trigger on this largest purchase
-Ford 8.8 rear. Im a bit confused on what cradle to go with on this. I keep reading about a Ronin (sp?) setup, but also see that Samberg has a kit. Is the samberg decent?
-Engine mounting/subframe- have been reading alot about the Sikky kit. Seems interesting and straight forward

Thanks. Wish I can say that is mine. Thats at a shop of a buddy of mine. I'm also looking for an MKIV for the wife (her fav. car). Hoping to get the ball rolling soon. Just sold my house and looking for our next place, so its slowed me down a bit. Going to tear out the seats this week and get them redone from a buddy of mine.
Good luck on the mkiv search. It's getting harder and harder. We are looking for our second one currently. Idk if the photo will load but this is our his and hers right now.

There's quite a few fd's in south florida! There's 4 near me up here in central fl too, look forward to seeing your build come together. My good friend did the LM7 swap with a 5.3 vette head.. that thing was cool but that ls3 is going to move!!
