Hello! New member in Colorado Springs!
Hello,
I am Joseph, I live in Colorado Springs and I own and operate a European repair and performance shop. I have always had a soft spot for Japanese cars despite my immense love of European cars (mainly German).
I recently was able to purchase a silver 1993 RX-7. The car was owned by my uncle since new and I have drooled over it since I was 8 years old. I was finally able to persuade him to sell it to me!
The car is mainly stock, the only mods have been longevity mods. The car has been rigorously maintained by Cam of Pettit racing in West Palm Beach Florida since it was new!
Car sounds about perfect right... A few downsides to this story... My uncle basically daily drove this car,it has 120k on the clock. The last two years he left the car parked outside in an employee parking lot at the O'Hare airport (he is a pilot). The lot and climate were not nice to the car over the two years it sat untouched. The body sustained several dents, the clear coat has begun to peal and the plastics cracked...
After going through all the fluids, replacing belts,plugs,wires,coils and tires, the car fired right up and is about 80% roadworthy again! Aside from the cosmetics, we have a few issues to sort out so she can be taken out on some of the beautiful Colorado roads!
