WA Greetings from Kirkland, WA

Hello from Kirkland (WA) - I'm Pierre and I'm working with our boys (11 & 13) on an 84' RX7 with a 13B engine. We're learning as we go. Some hands-on experience replacing an engine on a Mitsubishi Montero many moons ago and once swapped a transmission while parked alongside the street in Chicago. Our eldest is looking forward to driving in a few years. So far we've had the injectors professionally cleaned, figured out that the fuel pump works, and spent a while looking at the 1984 reference manual that came with the car. We're looking forward to learning much more and transforming this car into a fine ride.

That's really great to hear man. Nothing more exciting than learning how a car works with dad. What color is it?

It's a washed out red for now. Plan is to repaint it burnt orange. For now, trying to figure out why the engine isn't running. I'll have to search through the posts or post myself if I don't find anything.

Any thoughts of why it may not be running? Get a compression tester and go from there! the forums here may be confusing at times but don't be afraid of asking questions!

Keep in mind that a good paint job in a different color can be pricey (done right.. engine bay, door jambs, under the rear carpeting etc.). Besides, Red can be pretty bad *** (of course I'm a bit prejudice about that hehe)
