Getting back into my FD in Houston TX
Hi ya'll! My name is Jake and I live in Kingwood TX (Houston suburb).
I've got a 94 FD that I drove from 1999 to 2005. It went down (I think with a seal obviously) in 2005 and I've been hauling it all across the country every time I've moved waiting for some cash to get it fixed. Having 4 kids in the interim probably had something to do with no available cash. Alas - they are all girls so no more car people in my family .
Anyway - I've kept the car nearly 10 years and finally have some coins to spend on getting it running.
Planning on spending some time here researching what the latest tech improvements since then and then looking for a mechanic / shop to do the work.
I consider myself a technical person and car guy who does alot of their own work but since the car went down after I was working on it (replaced a turbo - hoses, etc.) I'm gonna need professional help.
Looking forward to getting back into this car

Kewl!
We'll need to compare notes on engine builders and tuners.
I'm going to need both of those services over then next few months
Are there every any regular RX7 events around town?

I'll look for that thread!. I'm gonna finish off the reliability mods first. Since I've got to get the engine re-built, I'm considering a street port. Still deciding.

That sounds good I'll be installing my reliability mods after the suspension work and I'll be doing a street port on my engine when I rebuild it's going to be great.
