Replacing the audio deck

My stock went bad, I got a pos for like 30bucks from target or something. Replaced it with my friends awia. The target deck got fried int he back of my car when I moved out giving my friend back the awia deck.

So now I'm stuck with no audio

I got 80bucks, I found this

http://www.amazon.com/Dual-XDM6820-D.../dp/B0009PKU9C

Even comes with headphone input for use with ipods and such, I love that feature my old target deck had it. This one says it has anti shock (Which the target one didn;t ) thats a plus.

Would it be worth it? With the piece of **** target deck which was broken due to me, everything sounded decent the target deck only had 15w x4 and such.

I have 2 way pioneers in the front which sounded amazing with both the target deck and the awia and some home system jbl's custom fitted in the rear, and a cheap boss 800w rms mosfet amp to a cheap rca 9" sub.

So would this deck suit me you guys think? I read its rather bright I think I could live with it and its only 80bucks (I'm buying it from a store 5mins away)

thanks for any opinions, also if anyone could shed any advise on getting the door side speakers to work on a s5, I've never beable to get them to work when i removed the stock, it appears the dash speakers are wired to the door's also :S I tried to put my own wires to the doors but it looked like too much work any tips on finishing wires through the door boot? thanks guys

I am not sure how far away you are from a CC or BB, or any other retailer, but its the transition from last years models to this years, so you can usually get a display or another open box unit that will be a little better for the same price, maybe even less if they just want to get rid of it. As far as yuor front right speakers, they are run in paralless with your dash, so your if your dash works and your driver door doesnt changes are the wires that come of the dash speaker that lead do the door are disconected. You may be able to find it, if not yuo can usally find the speaker wires on the inside of the kick panel from the door jam and just tap them on their if yuo dont want to run them through. This is all asuming that your door speaker is in working condition as well.

My door speakers are cracked and trashed, but it'd be nice to replace them in the future.

I'm going to run new wires to the rear speakers today (The wires are already ran down the driver side) I'll prolly just run new wires to the door's then.

I don't get why everyone diss's the small dash speakers, I found nice pioneer's for 10bucks on ebay lol, sounds great to me.

makes sense that the dash and door's are connected tougether, doesn't make sense to me that they don't work though. Theres no signal going to the door's, the car's been in my family all my life I'm the only one whom's done audio work and I never disconnected the doors =3
