factory antenna wire into aftermarket radio
I have read the posts on this and do not see an answer for 93 FD with Bose radio. I changed the stock radio to a Kenwood touchscreen. Geeksquad at BestBuy did the install. The antenna is not attached, since there is not a conventional Motorola type pin-plug on the end of the Mazda antenna cable to plug into the Motorola socket on the back of the Kenwood radio. It has instead a small white plastic plug with three wires. See attachment. Does anyone know if this stock antenna wire has a short cable attached to the radio with a regular Motorola connection somewhere under the carpet between the radio and the antenna at the back of the car? This is the only thing that makes sense. The antenna cable at the back of the car into the power antenna has a Motorola plug. I looked everywhere online for an adapter to go from the small plastic plug to Motorola plug- none found. I do not want to pull up the carpet if I do not have to.
Has anyone removed their stock radio-for Bose system (actually it is a Clarion radio) and found what the antenna wire setup looks like?

antenna wire
Mamba- thanks, I know how it connects back at the antenna, but I need to know if there is a larger diameter wire and Motorola connecter somewhere near the front that I can use. The only wires (other than the speaker plug and power plug) going into the back of the stock radio are on that little white plug. There is no larger wire or Motorola plug visible when the radio is pulled out of the dash. The new radio (and almost all aftermarket radios) require the Motorola plug. The wire starts out as a regular large diameter radio antenna wire at the back of the car. Somewhere it changes into those three little wires and small plug. As a last resort I will have to pull up the carpet and look.

Don't know if the OP is still interested but I could use some help on this too.
There s/b a motorola connector back in the dash area behind the HU. You may need to go through the passenger side footwell to find it under the carpet.
That connector in the pic actually plugs into the circuit board inside the original HU. It probably pulled out of the HU when it was pulled out of the dash b/c of the original routing of the antenna cable in the car. There was just not enough length to pull the HU all the way out without stessing the cable.
???? My question is where does the third wire in the pic go ????
2 wires go to the antenna connectors that are with the HU and on mine the third wire is hanging loose. After all this ripped out of my Bose HU upon removal I reinstalled it and now get no AM reception at all but there is one wire just hanging from that connector.
