I am going to be placing and order on these bulbs today and wanted to find out what people's experiences were with using the Cool White bulbs against the OEM amber gauges. Do they still look okay? Look cooler? or no change?

I'm not interested, or expecting them to look like white gauges as I expect the coating will eliminate that, I just want to avoid making a mess of the way they look, and would appreciate some insight.

The warm color LEDs unfortunately don't seem to be available for all the bulbs. In particular the 74-xHP bulbs I found are either cool white or a specific color, e.g. amber, red, blue, etc.

Just purchased the bulbs that AutomationLED does not offer which are the center taillight and front bumper indicator turn signals for the 99' spec indicators. For those of you who also struggled to find the correct bulbs for the front indicator turn signals (amongst dozens of listings), they are listed literally as eagle eye tower and are now sold at 14.99 each. As for the center taillight bulbs, the only site I could find which offered them has now discontinued offering the bulbs. Fear not! I scoured the internet and found them on eBay (lol) for 19.99 per pair (three required so purchase 2 pairs) listed as HQRP (the brand) T10 168/194/921 15 smd white. When you look into the description, it even shows "cool white" as the colour, as indicated to be the correct ones by Hayes. The picture will also show the specific bulb in question. Just thought this might be useful to some. Have fun converting to LED goodness folks!

I noticed the owner's manual (1993) specifies bulb number 3496 (27W) for the front turn signal bulb, while the workshop manual specifies 3497 (27W) in several areas.

I assume the owner's manual is incorrect?

Answer: It turns out they are 3496 bulbs. 3497 bulbs are similar, but they won't work – my car needs 2-contact bulbs and the 3497 have single contacts.

I just purchased a 1993 RX7. It has the 99 spec tail lights and one of the brake light bulbs are out. Is there a simple way to change the bulb? I have not been able to figure out how to gain access to the tail light guts.

^Yes. While the '93-'95 front combo lights need a KnightSports harness for their conversion to '99 Spec, I don't recall the tails needing the same.

1990 Vert center console.

I know, the picture could be better.
However, besides the illuminated (headrest speaker power surround block), are the other switches supposed to illuminate as well? If so, is this simply a bulb replacement or is there something more here? Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

I hate to necro this but I have a correction and some additions:
headlight control - NeoWedge 4mm, NOT 5mm. I don't have cruise control but my guess is it is also NeoWedge 4mm
The exh warning and security system bulbs are NeoWedge 3mm
