Question Bumper Cover repair

I have looked......and looked for information and how to repair the bumper cover on the rear of our cars. A guy (won't go into details of what kinda guy) rear ended me on the freeway. Didn't hurt the car that bad. I was able to fix all the damaged sheet metal in about 1/2 an hour BUT, the bumper cover is scrached 6 times right on top. The best estimate I could get from Body shops was $200. I can do the work I just need to know what kind of filler is used on those rubber bumper covers. then I could get the cover re-painted for about $50. Can anybody steer me in the right direction???

Not sure if this is the correct forum.

fiberglass repair is must much better to live through the flexing that bumpers see. That would be the better option.

Flexible bumper repair compounds are pretty common at many auto parts stores.

It works like bondo, but stays flexible so it won't pop out if you hit something.

But the best way is too have a body shop plastic weld any rips.

There are not any rips just scratches where the other guys bumper had bolts. In other words, His bumper rode up on top of mine and as it did this the bolds on the bottom of his bumper "plowed" rows or scratches on the top of mine. I need to fill those scratches and re-paint.

Do you have any brands??? I went to the auto parts store but I didn't see anything and the guy didn't know of anything. I'll try another store today
