Bose Nightmares...

Hi everyone.
I posted some questions a week ago and received a few suggestions.
I decided to adopt a "step by step" procedure in regards to upgrading my factory Bose system. I also decided to go with the line converter and see what kind of sound I get from the Bose speakers. From there, I will see what to do in regards to changing the snake.
I have gone online and I have found the parts I need that are manufactured by Scosche. I have also checked out Crutchfield to purchase. And here start the problems. Crutchfield USA does not export to Canada (which as you can see, is where I live); Crutchfield Canada does not sell this kind of stuff (only home electronics for the time being). I decided to do some legwork. I went to Futureshop (owned by BestBuy) and asked. At one store the installation guy tells me they don't have the adapter or the harnesses that Scosche makes; he suggest I do deck, speakers and they will re-use the factory harness (I assume) changing the connectors. I go look at Circuit city (RadioShack) and they tell me they don't have line converters (I checked 3 different stores). I decided to try East Hamilton Radio (mega electronics store that has incredible selection in car audio). The guy there tells me I can't do it, I need to re-wire the entire car and, naturally, change the speakers and the deck. Keep in mind that everyone of these conversations has started with me asking for a line converter/adapter and after not finding/stocking/being able to get one, they go onto asking me what I need it for. I decided to go to another store that does car audio installations and also sells decks, hardware and so on. The guy suggested to me that I'd just try it without the line converter, or that I'd connect the amps using the pre-outs. He had a line converter, but it was not like the Scosche, it had RCAs on one side and I believe only one channel. I checked another FutureShop and I got the same run-around. This guy tells me that there's no way I can use the converter and do the hookup that way, I need to re-wire the car and install everything new: "everything has to come off" he says.
Now, sorry for the long post. I am infuriated and frustrated. I am on the verge of jumping in the car and going to purchase this stuff in the US... I haven't tried Toronto, but I really don't know where I should start, given that I'll find 3000 Audio stores there.
Would anybody have any suggestions in regards to this? I would be willing to paypal you the cost of the Scosche parts (2 harnesses and the adapter) and the cost of the shipping to me and I am willing to compensate you for the job... (ask for what you want?). Unless, that is, somebody has some different suggestion.
Thank you in advance,
Giovanni

Send me the Scosche part #'s and I'll get them from here. I don't understand why it's so difficult to get a line converter. By the way, you are just trying to hook up an aftermarket amp to you Bose system, correct? If so, the line converter should look like a box with 4 wires coming out from one side (to tap into the existing speaker wires) and, 2 rca wires coming from the other side so you can hook up the rca cable which will be plugged into your amp. Anyway, send me the info and I'll do what I can.

OK. I believe the problem lies in the fact that I cannot find anybody that can/will order the Scosche parts for me.
All the line converters I found have RCA Jacks and usually only carry one channel (not front and back, to be precise).
In any case, I want to thank you for the offer. I am going to do one last attempt tomorrow and after that I'll contact you.
