Throttle pump settings?

e8 Manual states there is an adjustment for throttle pump sustain and throttle pump decay. I cannot find this on the program.

During sudden throttle closure I get rich readings.

Also for the life of me I cannot understand why I cannot cross into boost under 2500rpm. The fuel injectors duty cycle goes to 0%. No matter what. Its perfectly fine if I have the rpms above 2500rpm? The map is linear throughout.

(I don't understand the effect of staged injection map. Seems to me it (O2)changes all the time and the map has little effect on the fuel? Maybe its the throttle pump maps interfering with the wideband readings since there is alway throttle manipulation trying to maintain certain boost levels for tuning?)

thanks for the help.

I also forgot to mention. Lock variable points does not seem to work for me. My maps only go to 7000rpm and I need them to go higher. Each time I unlock the variable points and then I change them, Save the file and reload the file its still set to 7000rpm. WTF. I even tired this when connected to the e8.

Any ideas.

duh,

apparently if you use the mouse to select the cells and type in the data you must hit enter after each one. Not click on the other cell without hitting enter and input the data in the other cell like excel!! (man I feel like a tool! but thats how you do excel and the data stays in the cell!)

One problem down and another 3 more to go

Well, yes, ever since DOS we've been taught to hit enter after any change you do.

I actually hit apply twice before i hit ok.

Oh, and on your throttle pump questions, what version of software are you running? v1.62 or v1.71?

V1.71.

Just find it odd that there is no throttle pump decay as stated in the manual and I do go excessive rich on sudden throttle closure.

Found out why the car falls flat on its face under 2500rpm. Staging map will do it! For some reason when you turn down the stagging map in that area the duty cycle will still show 8% or less on both injectors but the car goes lean and the fuel injectors shut off an dduty cycle goes to 0.

Turning up that area on the staging map fixed it but rich spots now.
