little trouble with my loom

i just recently bought an E8 and started laying out all the connector wires and found that i am missing a few wires and i so i am just wondering if anyone can help shed some light on my situation.

wires missing:
34 pin connector:
spare a/d #3, pin #17
spare a/d #4, pin #25
PWM out #3, pin #23

26 pin connector:
PWM out #4, pin #19

the wires that i have left over that i don't know about are the orange with white stripe which i think i found that on the diagram as a 8v supply, and a green wire which i'm sure is a ground and two grey with red stripe wires which i'm not real sure what they go to. so any help would be greatly appreciated.
thanks garrett

If you bought this new from a Haltech official dealer you can tell him to send that harness back to Haltech and get a complete one. That is a manufacturing error and should be warranted.

If you bought this from a friend, or from ebay i have say you might have to either A. buy a new harness or B. put in the missing wires.

Sorry, but I don't have the E8 wiring diagram in front of me, but...

If that wire is an 8V reference, you can't use it unless you're using 8VDC components.
No need to worry about this one.

I doubt the green wire is a ground.
All grounds are BLACK.

The two gray / red wires are extra +12VDC switched.
You can use it for whatever.
I think you need at least one for your fuel injectors?

Ted,

He is missing wires that ARE supposed to come on the harness from the factory, you're talking about different wires than the ones he mentioned. Thats why he has to contact his supplier and get that harness exchanged.

Man, thats half the PWMs and 2 inputs you can use to datalog, specially SpareA/D3 which is mainly reserved for the Wideband AFR monitor.

I would find out where the Harness/kit was bought by, that way you can get it exchange, since those features are important, at least thats how i see it, you still have your injectors/ignition wires, which ever you dont use you can use as outputs too.

But ill tell you this, if you need a new harness i can sell you one, i have it in stock right now, and its complete. PM or email me if your interested.

Nah man, its been known to happen every few millenia, Haltech sends out a harness with missing wires or pins in the wrong location, it doesnt happen often, but ive seen it once in a blue moon.

This one would be the 3rd one ive seen in 6+ years of being a dealer, so if they have a way of getting it exchanged through the individual who sold it or bought it from a dealer, go for it, if not, option b., i can supply a new complete one, heck, i would even take that one as part of the payment.

BUT!, now that you mention that, it would be pretty interesting to see someone actually build a knock off haltech harness from scratch. Ive tried it, dawnting task, and you have to account for all the different color wires, to actually be able to get the exact same colors that haltech uses, "that's-a one-a spicy meat-a ball-a!"

Let me know, if you want the harness.
