haltech and stock harness

1ok i just took my stock NA harness out(2nd gen doing TII swap). the harness plugs into the ECU in two places. about six inches up it plugs into something else on the body? what is this? it is two kind of transparent plugs that are about an inch or two across

2There is a big yellow connector that plugs into the ECU and runs across the inside of the firewall. what is this? do i need it? i was guessing it provides power to the ecu?

3what do i need to keep of the harness to maintain all the interior stuff working correctly, and other stuff correctly?

4what other "hidden" things are there i need to know about when installing a haltech

Why is this in here the Haltech section?

All your questions can be answered by looking in the FSM.

Fuel level gauge on FCs runs independant of the engine harness, water temp gauge is a yellow/white wire that runs on the passenger side engine harness that connects to the little sender next to the oil pressure sender, the tacho wire is a yellow/blue wire that runs on the driver side harness from the trailing coils to the dash, nothing you've said is a problem to do, and i know its been covered a lot.

As Ted said, its all in the FSM, or around here if you search.

one more question. i was looking at the harnesses and such and info i found here. i saw the wires are color coded. so say there is a solid green wire with yellow spots coming from lets say the wiper harness.... in theory the same color wire on another plug is where it needs to go? so ALL color coded wires are the same "wire" even though it travels through the ECU, plugs, etc etc? if so its pretty straight forward. also, what size connection do i need to plug into the plugs? i can just take the appropriate cruise/wiper wires and put a male end and plug into the correct spot on the bigger plug right.

try the "search" function at the top of the page. this subject has been discussed several thousand times. search before immediately posting a question. most subjects you maybe looking for help on have likely been discused before. search then post question

I don't...for a reason.
I charge customers for this information, so I don't post a long How-To online.

The one on 1300cc.com should be still available?
This is the infamous one from BDC...
