Haltech haltech E-8 kit

haltech E-8 kit

I bought the haltech e8 kit and i'm soon to install it but, i went to a shop and i was told that i was better off getting the Microtech since it designed mostly for rotaries. Of this i'm not sure since they are both general ecu's. So i'm left with the question if microtech is better than haltech? any advise or comments?.

Haltech has better resolution then the microtech.......but there's ups and downs to both EMS's.

Haltech and rotaries go together like cocaine and waffles (I watched Talledega Nights last night ) though, they were made for eachother.

The decision for you should be based on what the tuner in your area is more familiar with however. Either system is perfectly capable of running the engine though.

Its not lying Ted, its sales pitch.

Anyway, Haltech would do a better job than the MT, but its like classicauto says, when you go to a tuner, if he knows a system back to front and sideways with a blindfold on, and doesnt blow up engines, that system will work fine. So, if you have an E8, find someone who will be able to do all that you need it to.

I've just swapped from Microtech to Haltec so have experience of both ECU's. Both will do the job but i my opinion the Haltec is the much better unit. Though if its a diy map then there's much more to learn with the Haltec due to the number of extra options available.

thanks for the input guys... i will stick to haltech. The guy working in my car (Jim from JPR) knows tuner that knows how to tune with Haltech so there wouldn't be a problem... I kind of had the feeling that guy was just pulling my leg about the MT and HT i just wonder how come AcostaMotorsports have made it out so far in the rotary scene... thanks again guys...
