Yes. VE will work with staging and the staging is automated in the background. There should also be at least 3 stages.

This is typical of the entire industry, unfortunately. Motec made promises with their new ECU that never met their projected timelines. The end product was worth the wait though. Haltech has done this before too. Microtech fans are still waiting on promises of 21st century product.

I was told I'd see a Beta unit in February. Just had a conversation yesterday and that might happen in couple weeks.

I'll say this much, the current owner/leadership at Haltech has done a tremendous job of bringing good product to market over the last several years. They haven't dumped unreliable, unproven, bug filled junk in our laps. They seem to take their sweet time about it, but rest assured, they want the ECU on the market worse than you do and are working hard to make it happen.

I agree. But they are building hype. If they said nothing, we wouldn't be talking about it right now. Bad press is said to be better than no press.

If the Elite is to the P1000 as the P1000 was to the E8, it will be worth the wait.

It will be much, much more than those two in comparison. The E8 and 1000 use essentially the same hardware. The Elite is using a much faster processor and will have a ton of features not available in the Sport series.
