E8-E11V2 are very simular
I bought a used E8 yesterday. I plug it into E11V2 RE harness and it works! CAS, Lambda, Oil metering pump works as well.
E8 has less IO, but both are very simular.

If your brave and willing, try something.
First load E11V2 firmware, This works no risk here I have done this half dozen times.
Test the inputs which are E11 only. see if they work.
I have a theory, I have seen both the E8 and E11 apart side by side. I can see that the e11 has drivers the the e8 does not, that would be the additional ign and injector drivers, I think the only difference with the digital and aux inputs is the wiring harness.

The E8 and E11 are the same unit with the exception that the E8 has less inputs and outputs, you can actually flash an E8 with E11 firmware but there will be problems cause the software and ECU will think its an E11 when its not and thus give you errors. I have posted the E8 firmware on this forum, you can download it and reflash it with the proper firmware.

Also, remember, you brake it playing around with firmware and there might not be a warranty coverage, so be careful. Please remember that you have to save your map under the previous firmware, reflash with new firmware, load the DEFAULT BASE MAP from the new firmware folder, THEN load your old map, if you dont do it this way you'll get a corrupted map.
