E6K value
I'm contemplating selling my never installed E6K either here or on eBay. Any idea what these are going for now given their age, etc?

The street price for an uninstalled/new E6K would be anywhere from 700-900 if its one of the newer ones, case, and if the harness is a flying lead one, or 800-1000 if the harness is a terminated one and has the injector harness.
What do you have exactly?

Just like anything that isn't the current "market"... Its not what its worth, its what people are willing to pay for it.
There are some die hard E6K fans out there that might give you good money for it. This group is mostly comprised of people who haven't tried the E8 yet.... but they are out there...
Good luck...

Worth is a relative thing. I know I won't get what I paid for it but it's still better than just sitting in my garage.

i'd pay more for the flying lead harness. the terminated harness is sloppy!

I know for a fact that i can do a btter harness than what haltech provides, but its time consuming, labor intensive, and not to mention you have get the materials, connectors, heat shrink tubing, etc, to make it nicer.
I will agree that if you're the type of installer that takes pride in doing that, then, by all means, the flying lead is the way to go. Besides, the flying lead is cheaper anyway.

I think that if you take into account the the work that goes into the terminated harnesses, and the fact that it cuts installation times drastically should count for something. And if you tell me that you can do a better job of making a proper terminated harness that will be better than haltech's, realistically im willing to bet that if you do manage a very well done layout, the time and costs will probably come close to what haltech's terminated harness option is.
one universal harness is ok if you don't know how to wire and just want to plug it in, but a "custom" (if you even wanna call it that) layout is the best way to go. that way everything is where it needs to be.

I also love the custom harness layout too, my point is just the quickness and simplicity a terminated harness option gives you, im serious, even though i can connect a flying lead harness and start and engine in a day or less, it takes me a couple more just to lay it all out nicely.
