Attention Haltech, DOS and Virtual PC Users! Please Read!
Hello all,
Since i pretty much swear by Virtual PC, and use it constantly without any sort of problems, configured with DOS7.1, and on both new and old laptops alike, with both XP and Vista, i've decided to help out a little, as well as helping me out a little in the process.
Here is the deal, i have uploaded a fully configured DOS7.1 virtual hard drive onto my webhost, this virtual hard dirve contains ALL known Haltech ECU DOS software already setup and with its own directory to work out of.
All you would need to do to have access to this nice amenity would be to make a 25 dollar deposit onto my paypal account, once i have your confirmed payment i will email you with the link to download the ZIP file containing the already to go virtual hard drive for VPC which you would only need to have installed on your machine before hand.
Using this already configured VPC drive will let you use your modern XP or Vista powered laptop with no serial connector to connect to what ever DOS software program you need to run, since VPC runs under windows it uses all of windows resources to allow for seamless operation of the DOS program. I personally always recommend the use of the Keyspan USB to Serial addapter (found here: http://www.keyspan.com/products/usb/.../homepage.spml ) which i personally use and have ZERO problems what so ever.
So, if you are interested in obtaining this preconfigured virtual drive of Haltech DOS software in a DOS7.1 operating system (i chose that because of nostalgic value, i love typing old DOS commands! ) and basically have set it up perfectly and with no problems. Now the ZIP file containing this setup is going to be very big, for some reason the thing grew in size to about 100megs, so download speeds will need to be decent on your end so you can download this quick enough. Once you have downloaded this ZIP file, decompress it in the "My Virtual Machines" folder that VPC creates and puts inside the "My Documents" folder.
So, come one, come all, take advantage of this offer and contact me for more details.
My paypal confirmed email " info@tuningtechnology.com ".
Thanks for browsing.
