Mine came in and went in nicely for the space there is. Came with a modified allen wrench and hardware.

Quick review after I finally installed the vent today.
Fitment wasn't all that great, had to trim between 1/16" to 1/8" at various places.
I would recommend not getting it powder coated.
Fit it first than have it powder coated.

Mine fit fine.
The hardest part was one of the cap screws was a bit hard to get started in the clip.

Finally got a chance to install today and it wasn't a perfect fit either. I have to shave off a little bit later to get it to fit perfectly when I get the chance, I have a little bulge sticking out at the moment...

I wonder if some of this has to do with the vinyl dash warping. These cars are 20+ years old after all.
The vent cover is either laser or water-jet cut, so there should be almost no variation from one to another.

There is a high possibility of the dash warping for the higher mileage cars, (mine is a little over 100k).

Just a heads up. If you're using the vent to try and defrost your window, the louvers in the LRB piece are all at the same angle, and air doesn't hit the center of the windshield. The factory vent is nearly straight up towards the center and each louver slowly tapers off towards the ends.

I realize that this was probably a compromise in production because of the way the piece is stamped after it's been laser cut, but it does make the windshield vent kind of useless. I'm not sure if it's possible to bend the tabs more, but I might as well try.

I put mine in today. Installing it was a disaster and I chipped some of the enamel I put on it wiggling that hex wrench into the cap screws.

Fit was close but not exact in my 85.
