Quick review after I finally installed the vent today.
Fitment wasn't all that great, had to trim between 1/16" to 1/8" at various places.
I would recommend not getting it powder coated.
Fit it first than have it powder coated.

The hardest part was one of the cap screws was a bit hard to get started in the clip.

I wonder if some of this has to do with the vinyl dash warping. These cars are 20+ years old after all.
The vent cover is either laser or water-jet cut, so there should be almost no variation from one to another.

Just a heads up. If you're using the vent to try and defrost your window, the louvers in the LRB piece are all at the same angle, and air doesn't hit the center of the windshield. The factory vent is nearly straight up towards the center and each louver slowly tapers off towards the ends.
I realize that this was probably a compromise in production because of the way the piece is stamped after it's been laser cut, but it does make the windshield vent kind of useless. I'm not sure if it's possible to bend the tabs more, but I might as well try.
