Gauging Interest: Budget Friendly BBK < $1,000

Gauging interest for a budget friendly front BBK that would be priced less than $1000. BBK would consist of Wilwood Superlite 4 piston calipers and 12.7" rotors.

Comments welcome.

Ok guys, here's the deal.

I have brackets fabricated and I'm working on the finished design.

Would you guys be interested in purchasing the entire brake kit or just the brackets? I ask because I know some people would prefer to buy their own calipers and rotors. For calipers, you can find great deals on auction sites for new or used 4 piston Wilwood Superlites. I've seen some sell for less than $100 each loaded.

Now here's the secret, this kit uses 93-98 Supra TT front rotors (12.7"). The rotors' center hub bore will have to be machined from 62mm to 72mm to fit on the FD hub. I would rather not offer this service if possible and I'm sure you guys can get this done by your local machine shop.

If I supply the brackets, the price would be $400 shipped for the pair.

Total cost of this kit would be:
Brackets $400
Rotors $100
Calipers $200
Lines $50-$100
Machine work $60-$100

So for $900 or less you can have a hell of brake setup.

Please let me know what you think.

Price edit. Brackets will be $200. So for $700 or less, you can put together a solid BBK.

Had a chance to 3D print the brackets. Fitment is perfect!

Let's get an exact count for brackets only. Price will be $210 shipped. I'll likely only do one run off these.

Can you post an example wilwood part number for the caliper that will work with this setup?

Thanks

I guess we can't edit posts in this thread.

What do you use for brakes lines? Stock fitment or something with an end that mates to the superlite?

Here's the stock setup vs the Wildwood setup.

The part number for Wildwood calipers is 120-11136.
