We'll need more of you guys on board if we're going to make this. I've never seen another BBK in the 1200 range. We pulled out all of the stops to make this kit affordable, but it will be a dead product without the communities interest. Tell your friends, post about it on facebook, link people to this thread.

Yeah... Unfortunately we FC owners are too much of a ragtag bunch of cheap-asses. Half the build threads here start with: "got a shell for free! cutting the springs and going to replace all of my bushings with hockey pucks this weekend. how much HP gain can I get from deleting emissions?" Compare that with the FD owners, where buying an OK-ish FD is well into the 5 digit range and not for the average schmo.

Anyhow, I would love to jump on-board with this, but I don't have a steady source of income at the moment and I'm already diverting most of my funds to the engine. If miraculously I find a way to both dig up the $2k I'm already over budget on the engine for and then another $2.5k for this brake kit and the rears... sign me up, LOL.

When platforms get older, it can be hard to justify sinking a lot of money in to support them. We're in a funny situation here, because in order to keep costs down on a kit, we need a decent number of people willing to pre-order. However if we don't have the numbers, the kit will end up being priced out of the market.

Moving forward with a handful of orders, we could manage a price point for launch in the $1500-$1600 range. We're trying for something more like our FD launch @ $1350 for introductory pricing. To get to that price point, we need more people!

This is a good time to contact any friends who track with an FC, or anyone else who might be interested. To keep this kit viable for the FC market, we want to keep costs relatively low, but to do that, we need some volume!

We have been contacted about this by a few customers outside of the forum too, so there are some interested parties. We just need people willing to put down cash to make this happen!

Talking

We're still getting emails about this kit, but we need sign ups who are willing to pre-order to make it happen. We're getting close, so if there's anyone on the fence considering making a commitment, we need you guys!

Our RX8 Kit is nearing the pre-order numbers that we need to start production! If we can get a few more FC people to sign on, we can move forward with Wilwood based BBKs for every modern rotary platform!

So for everyone interested in a track worthy BBK for the FC, it's time to make it happen!

We've got calipers, hats, rotors, and nearly everything to make this kit in stock... we can knock out brackets in a few weeks after we close a group buy. Again this is the most affordable legitimate BBK I've seen this side of the Chinese boarder, and we've got 50 happy FD customers tracking on this kit now.

PLEASE TELL YOUR FC FRIENDS... this will NOT happen without FC owners backing it. Come here, sign up... let's get this rolling guys!!!! Post on the forums, facebook, instagram or call your friends like the old days. We want to make these for you!

Fresh review from a couple days ago:

The Sakebomb rotors didn't warp and the brakes felt exactly the same every time I hit the brake pedal.

Supporting info: Sakebomb rotors (not the floating APs), Hawk DTC-60 pads (I may downgrade to a different pad, these tend to rattle at slow speeds both with the Wilwoods and stock calipers), 35mm pistons in the Wilwoods, stock rear brakes, ~320hp.

I got 2 crazy questions ..also this post will bump you up..heh,heh!

1: is the setup just front?..or ALL?.(F&R)?
2: You mention Track racing but how would this new setup fair out as a street application.

Thanks man.Good luck in the venture.

This is for the front. We can also make rear kits, but at this stage there doesn't even seem like there's enough interest to make even the front kit (based on the very sparse and limited response so far), let alone even talk about a rear kit. We've sold over 50FD kits to date and they've been asking about rear kits, and we're working on it now. Without seeing any sort of community interest the development for this platform, the vendor support for it will dry up (as I'm sure you guys have seen as far as coilovers, and very few companies still making them for the FC).

Question. Can I buy the rotors when worn out locally in Canada or is this something I have to buy through SBG. I can't stand the shipping, brokerage and exhange. Dam rip off. Stuff ends up costing twice as much. I also would like the rears. Is shipping to Canada included?

On the off chance this could still get off the ground, I'd be interested in a set of these too. Good track brakes for the FC would be great.

I am in the process of designing a big brake kit for the FC because the options out there are limited and frankly overpriced for made in Taiwan without tolerance checks in place during manufacturing...

I am interested from and rear! But in order to be street rear must have parking brake ability.

No clue but the calipers are 4lbs each and rotors 15lbs each for reference

We've got hats made and ready to go... this kit uses the FD hat we already make... we need PEOPLE ON BOARD to make these parts. No people, no parts get made. This is the cheapest BBK you'll find anywhere with this level of performance.... sign up guys otherwise it will never happen. Tell your friends, post of facebook, etc. Get them to this thread and post their interest... without customers the rest of the parts to finish this kit will not happen.

Are you machining different bore sizes for the hats for the kit? Or are you planning to use hub centric rings?
