personally, I think this is the best looking hood for the FC. I'm broke but see that no one has posted how great this hood is.

I've actually looked into purchasing this hood. But on the pics showing the back view, it appears that all those vents are closed. Is that true, or am I just misinterpreting the pics? The purpose of those vents is to extract air from the engine bay, and for me to get this hood it'll have to be functional. If this hood is more style over function, I'd consider your drift style hood as well given those vents are open...

so the top piece is carbon fiber right? The skeleton is fiberglass?

Thanks to IceMark, I know that

aluminum T2 hood= 32 lbs with paint and scoop,

without insulation Steel T2 hood= 51lbs

How much does a carbon & fiberglass hood weigh? Same style if possible (turbo II)

Based on the size it should be around 22lbs or less, almost the same size as the 240sx hood. I don't have the exact weight though.

Top is carbon , bottom is fiberglass so it is like the typical carbon fiber hood.

If desired, we could make it fully carbon if you want but it would be triple the price and it wouldn't really be worth it since it would only be slightly less weight at a significant cost.

We can also make a carbon kevlar version if you like, those are about $180 more.

What's sup with a trunk, that thing is heavy as well. For the price the carbon sounds nice and light. I tried checking on the site, don't you have an OEM one that without any scoops/vents? My car runs real low as it is lol.

I would strongly suggest hood bonnets with any hoood after market, they make different ones, even some flush ones to keep it clean.

Sure, I could probably make a carbon trunk for the convertible models if I can get 10 buyers. Each at $450

Also, I would be able to make kevlar as well. If the dimensions are right I can send them out Fedex and avoid the expensive freight charges.

It may have the latch, but I would definitely put hood pins on it or any other aftermarket hood just in case.

We sell the genuine aerocatch hood pins, I'll try to fix the pictures on our website.
